Pretty Stamped Envelopes

Good morning crafty friends!  DT member Elaine here sharing some cute envelopes all stamped with sentiments from the ‘Sealed with a Kiss’ A6 stamp set.

I recently bought some really cute coloured envelopes and thought I’d stamp a bunch of them on the seal so that they are ready to go when I need them!

Here are the details of the stamps, envelopes and inks I used to create these super sweet envelopes:

  • Sealed with a Kiss A6 stamp set – Chunky Monkey Crafts
  • Envelopes:  Gina K Designs (A2 size) – Ivory, Bubblegum, Lovely Lavender (packs of 10)
  • Tsukineko Ink – Lulu Lavender, Angel Pink
  • Delicata Ink – Metallic Copper

Distress Ink Colourful Background

DT member Elaine here sharing this colourful thank you card.  I have used my Narky Finishing Sentiments stamp set to create a fun backgrounIMG_7350d panel to use on my card.  Details and how-to are below!

Photo 14-06-2018, 10 34 51 (1)

I started with a piece of plain white cardstock measuring slightly larger than an American A2 size card.  I used an embossing buddy to coat the whole piece of card and then placed it in my misti stamping tool.  I arranged all the stamps that I wanted to use from the Narky Finishing Sentiments stamp set and then inked them all up with Versamark Ink.  I then coated the card panel with clear embossing powder and heat set.

Photo 14-06-2018, 10 37 52 (1)

I filled in any gaps using little stamps from Lawn Fawn’s ‘Love Letters’ stamp set, inked again with Versamark ink & clear embossing powder.

Next I took three shades of distress inks and blended on all three shades in random areas on to the card bringing the clear embossed images and sentiments to life.

Once my panel was complete I cut it down using the largest rectangle die from Waffle Flower Crafts’ Lacey Layers die set.

For the white card panel across the front I cut down a piece of white card (from my scraps pile) with my MFT Die-namics Stitched Scallop Edges 2 dies and then cut it down to my desired width (4.25″).  This was secured to the front of my card with liquid adhesive.

I stamped the two birds from ‘Love Letters’ stamp set along with the open envelope and ‘thank you sentiment’ on to copic friendly cardstock (make it colour) with memento tuxedo black ink and then coloured with copic markes:

  • Envelope: C3, C1, C00
  • Birds: Y15, Y13, Y11, YR04 (beaks)
  • Letter: RV55, RV52

I used glossy accents for the beaks and a black glaze gel pen to accent the eyes.  To adhere the birds and envelope to the card I used small pieces of foam tape.  As a final embellishment to the card I put some dots of gloss white nuvo drops.

Here is a list of all the products I used in this project:

Magical Unicorn Shaker Card

IMG_7350DT member Elaine here today sharing this fun, colourful shaker card.  I cut a panel of white card stock and used my ‘All Prettied Up’ scallop frame to give a pretty edge and stitching detail around the outside.

Photo 08-06-2018, 12 38 03

I used my ‘Over the Rainbow’ die by MFT to cut my rainbow on some white card stock and then ink blended each piece in rainbow colours (picked raspberry, spiced marmalade, squeezed lemonade, cracked pistachio, tumbled glass and wilted violet).  I used Lawn Fawn’s ‘Puffy Cloud’ dies and ‘Puffy Cloud Frames’ for the clouds.  The unicorn was a free digital image but sadly no longer available (I’ve tried so hard to find the links).  I coloured my unicorn with copic markers.  Before I stamped my sentiment and adhered my unicorn I used Windsor & Newton Gold Ink to flick on some splatter.  I then went ahead and stamped my sentiment from Avery Elle’s ‘Be a Unicorn’ in Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

I covered the back of the panel with some clear acetate, securing with double sided tape.  Then I added one layer of foam tape all over the back, being sure not to get foam tape near my cloud openings.  I filled the cloud wells with sequins – the smaller cloud is filled with ‘Mermaids Tail’ sequin mix (you can find this in the shop) and the larger cloud is filled with some chunky pink glitter and clear 4mm sequins from my stash.  I covered the whole panel with another layer of clear acetate and then secured the whole shaker panel to a heavyweight card base.

I finished off the back of my card by stamping one of the adorably cute sentiments from the ‘Sealed with a Kiss‘ stamp set….I’m obsessed with these ‘Delivered by….’ stamps in this set.

Hugs Within

Hugs! Everyone loves a hug. Back in January of this year I coloured this super sweet image from Gerda Steiner Designs for the 30 Day Colouring Challenge (click the link for information and to join the most recent challenge which started on 1st June 2018).

I hadn’t managed to get around to putting the image on to a card but as soon as I saw the wonderful ‘Sealed with a Kiss’ stamp set I knew I had to make a card just so I could use one of the hug related sentiments on my envelope!

For the card I embossed the ‘All Prettied Up’ Dies from Mama Elephant on to the front of the card using my Big Shot and a silicone mat. I fussy cut the image and then secured it on to the front of the card using foam tape. The sentiment was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I finished off the card with some Pale Periwinkle Nuvo Jewel Drops.

For the envelope I used the ‘Hugs Within’ stamp along the top seal of the envelope with Hero Arts Ombre Ink in ‘Light Purple to Grape Juice’.

Narky Finishing Sentiments for Cards and Envelopes

Good morning crafty friends!  DT member Elaine here to share some inspiration as to how to use the Narky Finishing Sentiment stamps to embellish and decorate the back of your cards and envelopes.  Take a peek at the photographs below to see how I’ve used them for a subtle, elegant look.

Photo 18-05-2018, 12 00 24 (1)On the back of this card I used papermania embossing powder in copper to heat emboss a fun, quirky sentiment. I think we can all relate to this one!

Photo 18-05-2018, 12 02 52 (1)Here I have used a couple of the smaller sentiments to embellish my envelopes. I used memento ink in London fog to give a subtle, classic look.
